The aim of the association is:
- Enriching and disseminating knowledge about the history of Prokocim, cultivating tradition and historical knowledge about the founding and history of Prokocim;
- Collecting, processing and sharing collected or preparing materials about the history and achievements of the inhabitants of Prokocim;
- Promoting and commemorating the most important events, people and institutions distinguished for Prokocim as a separate town and district of Krakow, with particular emphasis on the memory of Erazm and Anna Jerzmanowski;
- Integrating the society of Prokocim based on the historical achievements of former and current residents;
- Developing among the inhabitants of Prokocim a sense of local patriot concern for the good name of Prokocim;
- Taking actions aimed at organizing the development of local initiatives in the field of social and charitable needs, culture, science, education of residents, saving historic buildings and items.
Activities carried out:
- Lectures on the history of Prokocim,
- Activities for residents and schools, organization of district grants for the Society,
- Organizing anniversary meetings (the Society’s patron, those who died for the freedom of Prokocim,
- Memories of distinguished residents,
- Collecting data about distinguished inhabitants of Prokocim in order to publish their biographies.
